I have a passion and love for people. That love is what fuels my desire to help others see their own potential, and to utilize the opportunity for something positive to come out of every difficulty, challenge, hardship, and struggle in life. My heart and passion for people in general, compels me to believe that I have been called to help people work through various pains, challenges, obstacles and struggles that they encounter and have endured in their lives. The time that I spent working in Family and Kinship Care at the Baltimore City Department of Social Services is what moved Me to transition into counseling. During my time at the Department of Social Services, I gained experience by working with children who have been abused physically, emotionally and sexually; and children who were abandoned by their parents. This experience helped me to gain a greater understanding and a more determined conviction of my calling to transition into the counseling field. I graduated from Morgan State University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I then later went on to matriculate and graduate from Capital Bible Seminary with a MA in Professional Counseling. I continue to educate myself in the counseling field through various workshops and continuing classes in order to be an even more competent therapist for my clients.
