I believe that our physical, emotional and mental wellness is interconnected. My goal when working with a client is to help them achieve a sense of well-being that permeates every area of their lives - physical, mental and emotional. My counseling style is solution focused which enables my clients to begin using the tools learned in therapy immediately for rapid results. I help clients to reframe their thinking, untangle disordered or unhelpful patterns of thought, and achieve mental clarity. We discuss physical concerns and explore new and healthier patterns of behavior. We work together to set goals that reflect their highest selves, and celebrate each and every success along the way, resulting in a client who is healthy in their mind, body and soul. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I offer women, children, and families an all-natural, solution focused approach to healing that can assists them in overcoming emotional struggles, undesirable behaviors, and disorders of the brain. I believe in effective strategies that take into consideration a person’s mental, physical, and emotional habits and well-being, and I am a strong proponent of natural and alternative therapies being used in conjunction with traditional practices. I have had great success in helping clients and their families cope with Depression, Chemical Dependency, Bipolar Disorder, Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress, Emotional Dependency, Relationship Issues (couples/marital), Parent-Child Issues, Self Esteem Issues and Co-dependency. I believe firmly in meeting each client wherever they are at in their journey and allowing them to set the pace for their healing. I work with clients to set goals, break painful cycles, and create new patterns of behavior, and to execute strategies that will help them achieve wellness physically, mentally and emotionally.

Hello! Welcome to my page! My name is Leah Beck, and I have extensive experience providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Florida and my master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Rollins College. My clinical experience began with treating individuals in crisis and answering calls on a crisis hotline. I spent several rewarding years working with college students before the demanding, yet gratifying opportunity of counseling at-risk youth and families. I have provided counseling in homes, schools, and office settings. I utilize an integrative approach to counseling, allowing me to incorporate a variety of clinical styles and techniques (solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, client-centered, etc.) lending me the flexibility necessary to best serve my clients’ needs. I have long held that self-care is vital to living a happy, well-balanced, and fulfilling life. I am a firm believer in practicing what I preach and choose to live the same healthy lifestyle I encourage my clients to maintain. I provide treatment and facilitate growth to clients who struggle with depression, anger, self-esteem, familial discord, relationship conflict, anxiety, body image, grief and loss, self-harming behaviors, and suicidal ideation. I have led psychoeducational groups for individuals with substance abuse issues. I have also had the privilege of co-facilitating process groups for LGBTQ individuals, which enabled them to voice their concerns and frustrations about their struggles concerning coming out and coping with daily obstacles. There are many reasons I love being a psychotherapist. I am continually honored to walk with women and men on their journeys and find it to be a privilege to play a positive part in their stories. To see my clients claim their voice, to see them reach that point of discovery, accepting who they are; that is what gets me up in the morning. I cannot think of a more rewarding career, one designed solely to decrease suffering and improve quality of life. It is truly an honor to facilitate the development of another's healthy, happy lifestyle.
