I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I also maintain professional licensure in Maryland and Colorado. Additionally, I am a board approved clinical supervisor in the state of Maryland. I graduated from the University of Denver in 2009 with a degree in Forensic Psychology and obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University in 2007. I previously provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings including non-profit community mental health centers and correctional facilities. I am experienced in providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, families, and adults presenting with a wide range of mental health and behavioral disorders. I utilize a strength-based, CBT approach geared toward helping individuals and families build on the positive attributes they already possess in order to facilitate change. I specialize in assisting children address mental health symptoms and helping families improve communication and dynamics within the home. Additional specializations include adolescent mental health and behavioral disorders, trauma, military family challenges, and women’s issues.
