My entire therapeutic approach is based around your needs, your experiences, and your strengths. I won't assume I understand your situation. Instead, I will listen and get to know your unique experience. I won’t dictate answers or determine your path. But I will be honest with you about what I see, and I'm not afraid to tell you when something isn't working. While I take pride in my education and experience, I am most proud of my ability to engage my clients, make them feel comfortable, and earn their trust. Research shows that our relationship will determine whether or not we will succeed in finding the way to a happier, healthier, and more effective you. I work to make my approach fit the individual goals, problems, values, and personalities of each of my clients. I am comfortable working with and treating a wide array of people and conditions. However, I consider my areas of specialty to be addiction and trauma. Prior to moving back to California, I spent time in Florida working as the Clinical Coordinator for one of the country's top addiction treatment centers. In addition to my supervisory and administrative duties, I was the primary therapist for the First Responders specialty treatment track, treating our nation's police officers, firefighters, corrections officers, and veterans based on their unique strengths and needs. My success has blessed me with the opportunity to be selective in my practice. I will only take you on as a client if I genuinely believe that we will work well together and that I will be able to help you to achieve your goals. If I do not believe that my online practice is right for you, I will be happy to offer some suggestions about other treatment options. You’ve come this far on your own- let’s take the next step together.
