Greetings:

Please note: If you have any questions, please reply to this email or call us at 888-282-2522. We are happy to walk through this process with you.

Breakthrough has found a bug in Adobe Flash 15 for Macintosh that can cause it to crash during video sessions. This can affect Macintosh users running Safari or Firefox. At this time, Chrome is not experiencing this bug.

A simple way to avoid a crash during video sessions is to use the Chrome browser instead.

If you prefer to use Safari or Firefox, make sure you use Adobe Flash 14. Instructions are included below:

1. Check Your Current Adobe Flash Version

  • Check what version you are using by clicking this link http://www.whatismybrowser.com/is-flash-installed
  • If you're already using any version of Flash 14, please stop here - you don't need to do anything further
  • If you are using any version of Flash 15, please continue to Step 2

2. Uninstall Adobe Flash 15.0

  • To download Adobe's Flash uninstaller, click this link http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg
  • Once you've downloaded the file, find it in your download folder and double click on it
  • A red box with a white "f" on it will appear; launch this by double-clicking on this icon
  • Click on "Open" and then "Uninstall"
  • Next it will ask you to quit all your Web browsers - please choose "Force Close All"
  • The uninstall will start and once the uninstall is finished, please continue to Step 3

3. Install Adobe Flash Version 14.0

  • To download and install Flash version 14.0, click this link https://www.breakthrough.com/flash/flashplayer14_0r0_176_mac.dmg
  • Once you've downloaded it, find it in your download folder and double click on it
  • A red box with a white "f" on it will appear; launch this by double-clicking on this icon
  • Click on "Open" and then "Install"
  • Next it will ask you to quit all your Web browsers - please choose "Force Close All"
  • Adobe will install
  • Before you choose "Done" it will ask you about automatic updates; we recommend that you chose "Notify me to install updates" rather than letting Adobe install them automatically, as that could bring back the problem currently caused by Flash 15.

Now you'll be able to launch your Web browser again and continue normally.

Again, we will help you with this process if you'd like. Please reply to this email (network@breakthrough.com) or call us at 888-282-2522. We are happy to walk through this process with you.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and look forward to when Adobe launches an update to fix this problem with Flash 15 soon. When that happens, we will notify you.
